Global Link is a Development Education Centre, established in Lancaster UK in 1991. We are part of a wider network of the Consortium of Development Education Centres, and a member of the umbrella body for global learning, Think Global. Global Link’s mission statement is ‘creative learning and action for a more just and sustainable world.’ We currently deliver projects in three main areas: global learning, community heritage and refugee and asylum-seeker support. Our heritage work is principally focused around working with communities to research and document ‘hidden histories’ of dissent and activism in our region of north west England and beyond. These histories are recorded on our online platform: www.documentingdissent.org.uk. We’re excited to be coordinating the LFTP project and sharing heritage learning with our European partners.

Anthropolis Anthropological Public Benefit Association was founded in 2002 by cultural anthropologists. Anthropolis’ mission is to analyse global issues, raise awareness of their impact, and support the development of critical global citizenship perspectives. The organisation works to strengthen the institutional background of education and visual anthropological research through global education and digital storytelling. Anthropolis published the first anthropological periodical in Hungary; produced documentaries on Hungarian minorities, people with special needs, migrants and on the Millennium Development Goals; organises media campaigns and awareness-raising festivals on global issues such as human rights, active citizenship, sustainability; and publishes educational toolkits for trainers and teachers as well as lecture books for elementary and secondary school students.
In the last decade Anthropolis has been working together with more than 40 European non-governmental organisations in the field of education, culture, research and social work. We have built strategic partnerships with local communities, decision-makers, universities, NGOs and educational development institutes.

In 2011, 3 young people decided to create a Non-Governmental Organisation in a small city in the center of Romania called Cristuru Secuiesc. This was the origin of Asociația de Tineri din Ardeal or Youth Association From Transylvania in English, whose main goal is to show Europe to Transylvania and Transylvania to Europe.
Nowadays we are 7 workers, more than 40 local volunteers, and a branch of our NGO established in Brașov city, but the journey until now was long. So far we’ve hosted more than 450 youth in 16 Youth Exchanges in Transylvania and the Black Sea. We also hosted 76 EVS Volunteers on long term and 9 on short term projects. Moreover, we’ve sent abroad more than 500 youngsters and youth workers from Romania to participate in Youth Exchanges and Trainings and more than 70 youth to European Voluntary Service. Since the end of 2015 we are also involved in Capacity Building Projects with Benin, Cape Verde and Ghana and five Strategic Partnerships for the betterment of employment opportunities, education and youth work.
On local level we are actively helping the ATA Youth Club to organize yearly events such as the Youth Week, Summer Camps for Youth and Children, the City Prom and many more.
We joined the Learning from the Past KA2 project because the core approach of the project is highly relevant to us, 2018 being the 100 year anniversary of Romania’s Unification, an event that also created the largest minority of Europe, a minority we represent, namely Hungarians living in Romania as a result to territory losses that came with the end of WW2. The involvement of a great number of adults and youths from our small community with the purpose of empowering them is also a strong motivation.
Mi-Gen develop and run community projects in and around the communities of Lancaster, Morecambe and Heysham.
We focus on intergenerational leaning projects – younger and older people working together to benefit the community.
We work with schools, colleges, Universities, community groups and older peoples centres and groups.
We focus our projects on social issues to help bring the community together and move it forward including healthy living, Youth development, the arts and heritage.
Youth Center Trbovlje (MCT) is a local public body, established in 2001 by the Municipality of Trbovlje with the purpose of implementing and coordinating different activities for- and with young people, cooperating with other actors of the European youth sector, gathering and providing information for young people. We also offer our services to individuals as well as organizations and companies and carry out a wider range of activities by acquiring European funds.
MCT acts according to the law on public interest in the youth sector and follows the legal provisions of this law in the youth field. MCT works mostly at the local level, but in a small region like Zasavje, we connect and work regionally as well. Our vision is that MCT by 2020 will become a development and training center that creates the conditions for better standards for young people and the progress of the whole local community, and encourages young people to become socially responsible. Our vision is based on the belief that young people must become the key holders of development in the region.
Locally and regionally we work with many public institutions, organizations and societies, as we are recognized as a reliable and efficient partner. We also regularly participate in national projects and carry out a number of international activities. We have been carrying out international activities since 2005, and so far we have implemented more than 50 different projects in the framework of various national calls and tenders of European and other programs (hosting and sending seminars, trainings, study visits, youth exchanges, European voluntary service, mobilityprojects within the framework of the Lifelong Learning Program, mobility projects for youth workers, youth local and transnational initiatives, the Progress project, etc.).
In addition to the youth field, MCT runs a youth hostel and café since 2011 and in the period from 2012-2016 we implemented the activities of the tourist information center for the entire Zasavje Region. MCT has 5 full-time employees and 10 permanent employees, who are daily present in the MCT. The MCT building is located in the center of the city and it was built with the funds from the European Regional Development Fund. It has also become the focal point of the city’s events for all generations.
MCT’s human resources and technical capabilities make the organization strong enough to carry out major projects. The team consists of people from different fields (sociologists, political scientists, organizers of work) who have experience in planning, reporting, implementing and managing the content of projects, managing finance, evaluating and reporting in major projects.
