Lancaster City Museum LFTP Exhibition to open this summer!

We are excited to announce that, following a delay of over a year caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the LFTP exhibition will open at Lancaster City Museum for six weeks from 16 July to 5 September 2021!

Based on our online exhibition, the Museum exhibition will give visitors the chance to see original archive items such as documents, banners and other objects. On display will be the original artwork created by young people from across Europe and the folk costumes used in the Transylvanian youth dance performance. These exhibits will sit alongside the stories from our project which will be brought to life through display panels and photographs.

Our ‘peace timeline’, created by LFTP participants, will wrap around the walls, highlighting some of the stories we researched for our project and putting them in a wider historical context. Visitors will be able to interact with our online map and write postcards to the United Nations, based on what they have learned from the exhibition.

We look forward to seeing you at the Museum this summer!
